Vietnam Airlines is set to increase the number of services to Japan to meet the massive demand.
It will start a daily Hanoi-Haneda service on July 1 and a four-times-a-week Da Nang-Narita service on July 16 using Airbus A321 aircraft.
Trinh Ngoc Thanh, the carrier’s deputy general director, said VNA has numerous flights from Vietnamese cities like Hanoi, HCM City, and Da Nang to Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Nagoya in Japan.
It currently operates a total of 62 flights per week to Japan.
To mark the launch of the new routes, the airline is offering a promotion. A return ticket between Hanoi and Haneda will cost VND6.3 million (US$300) until June 15 for flights departing from July 1 to 15.
A Da Nang – Narita round ticket will be VND7.37 million until December 31.
