Vietnam Airlines receives its first Airbus A350 XWB aircraft

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the carrier has made utmost efforts to overcome economic crisis and incessantly developed.

He congratulated Vietnam Airlines has become the second airline in the world to operate the all-new A350 XWB.

The national carrier also launched the new brand identifying system with new logo, stewardess uniforms, interior - exterior design, lounge, instruments and others; and announced the plan to upgrade the quality of service up to 4-star in 2015, such as booking, sale of tickets, after-sales service, the staff’s behavior, airlines’ products and services.

At the ceremony , Vietnam Airlines and Airbus Group signed a technical cooperation agreement. In which Airbus will pledge to provide a full package of parts and supplies for the former’s A350 fleet over 12 years.

As planned, the carrier will receive 33 wide-body airplanes, including 19 Boeing 787 and 14 Airbus A350 from June till 2019.

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Airbus A350-900 are among the world’s most modern and advanced wide-body aircrafts.

VNA said it is planning to change aircrafts which are able to help save energy and environmental friendly.
They will be used on international long routes and destinations in the country, Europe and North America, including Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City-London/Frankfurt, Hanoi-Paris/Seoul.

This move is aimed to promote its brand name to be the first carrier in Asia to own the wide-body aircraft types.
