Vietnam Airlines reduces airfares on short domestic routes

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on January 12 announced its maximum airfares on short domestic routes with distances less than 500km.

The carrier has decided to reduce ticket prices on local routes to boost socio-economic development in remote, border and island area, starting January 1.

A maximum of one-way ticket on routes including Hanoi-Na San, Ho Chi Minh City-Can Tho/Ca Mau/Con Dao, Vung Tau/Can Tho-Con Dao, and Da Nang-Pleiku/Quy Nhon/Dong Hoi will be VND1.6 million.

A maximum of one-way ticket will cost VND1.7 million for those routes less than 500 km. Prices do not include additional taxes and fees.

Vietnam Airlines will continue launching a discount of 30 percent to soldiers, workers and passengers who are working and living with a legal residency permit in Con Dao, Ca Mau and Pleiku. The promotional program will be applied on routes, including Ho Chi Minh City-Con Dao (from 25-30 percent), Ho Chi Minh City-Ca Mau (15 percent) and Da Nang-Pleiku (15 percent).
