Statistics of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) showed that Vietnam and Thailand became the most attractive travelling destinations in the Southeast Asia region for Russian tourists.

From January to June, Vietnam received around 204, 400 Russian tourists, increased 21 percent over the same period of last year.
Moreover, Thailand also becomes the most famous travelling destination for Russian tourists in the winter season.
According to Russia's Sputnik online news and radio, trade cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Russia has been expanded. Rusagro is one of the largest agricultural companies and among five largest pork producers of the Russian Federation and it is expected to sell pork to Vietnam in 2017.
