Vietnam's Civil Aviation Administration receives First-Class Labor Medal

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam yesterday held a solemn ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of its establishment and development (January 15th, 1956- 2016).

Former Vietnamese Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, Member of the Politburo and Vice Chairwoman of National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai attended in the ceremony.
 
On behalf of the Government, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai praised and appreciated great achievements and development of the agency during the 60 years at the ceremony.
 
However, Mr. Hoang Trung Hai said that the Aviation Administration of Vietnam could not cope with overloading of airport infrastructure and local aviation market although Vietnam was ranked the sixth among the developing ASEAN countries.

Besides, he required the agency should focus on controlling and adjusting the plan, improving legal system and policies concerning airline traffic, and strongly mobilizing investment resources outside State budget towards modern, integration and sustainable tendency in the upcoming time.
 
The agency needs to upgrade aviation systems, modern airports, especially the Long Thanh International Airport project which would contribute to the development of Vietnam’s aviation market ranking top 4 in ASEAN region.
 
At the ceremony, Deputy Chairwoman of National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan granted the First- Class Labor Medal to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam.
 
Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang and Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son published a stamp collection marking the 60th anniversary of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam.
