Winners of Mekong River Literature Award announced

The awardees of the 9th Mekong River Literature Award 2018 were announced at the award ceremony which was held in Hanoi on June15-17.

This year’s Mekong River Literature Awards were presented to 12 literary works of authors from six countries bordering or sharing Mekong River such as China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
Vietnamese writers who received prizes at the writing contest in the Mekong region are Nguyen Ngoc Moc and Le Van Vong.
According to organization board, submissions tell about the life, relationships between countries in the Mekong river basin in the war and the process of nation building after war.
A seminar on preserving and developing national character in international exchange and integration was also held with the participation of writers in the region.
The 10th Mekong River Literature Award will be held in Myanmar.
