City Hosts International Auto Show

The fourth Vietnam International Transport and Motor Technology Show has opened in the city with organizers and participants hoping it will warm up the local automobile market.

About 100 companies are displaying their imported or manufactured cars and scooters along with their spare parts.
 
Euro Auto Corp., Vietnam’s official importer of the BMW brand, is presenting three luxurious and high performance cars, including series M2, X5 and the sporty X6, all imported directly from the US and Germany.
 
The Toan Cau Auto Export-Import Joint Stock Co. is displaying their newly-imported French Peugeot automobiles at the exhibition for the first time.
 
In the larger vehicles section, local firms are showcasing locally-assembled vehicles, like Trancimexco which has its Jac truck with a capacity of 5-10 tons; and Samco with new models of its buses and firetrucks.
 
Hyundai Motor Vietnam, official distributor of the Complety-Built-Unit passenger vehicles of Huyndai in Vietnam, is presenting its Sports Utility Vehicle lineup of Veracruz and other two brands  - Getz and Santa FE.
 
The annual exhibition is organized by the Asia Trade Fair and Business Promotion Company and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It will remain open at the HCMC International Exhibition and Convention Center in Tan Binh district until November 9.
