Ho Chi Minh City Trade Show Opens

A six-day trade show featuring enterprises operating in industrial parks and export processing zones opened yesterday in Ho Chi Minh City to mark the 15th anniversary of the southern hub’s Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zones Authority (Hepza).

Products and services of more than 200 international and local enterprises will be displayed in more than 400 stalls at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in District 10.

The fair aims to introduce visitors to a wide range of products and services including garments, leather shoes, hi-tech products, automobiles, computers and electronic parts, bicycles, seafood, furniture, and handicrafts.

In addition, many seminars on the Government’s new investment policies, the development of industrial parks and export processing zones and human resources will be organized.

The Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial joint-stock bank (Sacombank), chief sponsor of the event, will also hold a conference, entitled "Financial Leasing and Vietnamese Enterprises", to provide participants with information about the service.

Other activities include a display of 100 photos in a contest entitled "Beautiful Photos of the HCMC Export Processing and Industrial Zones", a musical performance by Hepza’s workers, and a gold medal award ceremony for high quality Vietnamese products.
