Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has instructed ministries, central and local departments and relevant units to step up the campaign ‘Be Vietnamese Buy Made-in-Vietnamese’, to give further boost to domestically made products.

On behalf of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has signed Decree 24, instructing ministries, departments and relevant units to gradually build, protect and develop brand names for Vietnamese made products, not only for the domestic but also foreign markets.
The PM has asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to develop more kinds of domestically made products to boost the campaign.
The ministry should intensify activities to take Vietnamese made goods to rural areas and markets across the country. Promotional programs like ‘Vietnamese Goods Day’, ‘Vietnamese Goods Week’ and ‘Vietnamese Goods Month’ should also be developed further.
The ministry should coordinate with people’s committees in localities every year to organize ‘Vietnamese Goods Week’ across the country.
The ‘Be Vietnamese Buy Vietnamese’ campaign should also be made accessible on the Internet via the website www.tuhaohangvietnam.vn.
The PM instructed related organs to step up advertising and take Vietnamese made goods to Vietnamese communities abroad. These activities should be put in action by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese diplomatic organs abroad.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism should attach tourism with regionally made products and the Ministry of Health should build an overall plan and implement the program ‘Be Vietnamese Buy Vietnamese Medicines’.
