Viet Nam to Boost Economic Ties with APEC Members

The organizing committee of APEC CEO Summit 2006 and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a press conference Wednesday to introduce about APEC CEO Summit 2006 and the Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum.

The annual summit was first held in 1996, together with APEC Leaders' Summit. It is a significant forum for leaders, businesspeople, policymakers and researchers to share experiences and solutions in order to foster economic ties among regional enterprises and between APEC members and the world.

This year, the summit themed “Towards a community: Creating new opportunities to develop” will take place from November 17 to 19 with the participation of more than 800 leaders of national corporations and enterprises in Asia-Pacific.

On the sidelines of the summit, VCCI will host the Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum themed “New business opportunities when Viet Nam becomes a member of WTO” on November 16.
