World’s Biggest Coffee Exporters Team Up

Representatives of the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association traveled to Brazil on Thursday to study coffee production, processing and marketing in the world’s biggest coffee-growing nation and discuss possible cooperation in this area.

Many instant coffee plants in Brazil are actively calling on their government to let them buy Robusta beans directly from Viet Nam, while other Brazilian coffee firms hope to build processing plants in Viet Nam.

Brazil is the world’s biggest coffee producer with a total planting area of 2.2 million hectares divided among 350,000 plantations.

Viet Nam is the second, and its home-grown Robusta beans, which originated in Africa and now flourish in the Central Highlands, are esteemed by connoisseurs everywhere.
