Gold price down in Vietnam

Gold prices fell by 20,000 to 40,000 a tael on April 9 at the Sai Gon Jewelry Holding Company, Sacombank Jewelry Company, and Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company and Dong A Bank.

They were bought at VND19.51 to 19.53 million and sold at 19.57 million a tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams.

Internationally, gold finished at US$883.8 a troy ounce, $3.8 up from the previous day.

In Vietnam, the precious metal trades at VND550,000 to 650,000 a tael higher than global prices.
