Ho Chi Minh City’s Budget Revenue Exceeds Expectation

The total state budget revenue of Ho Chi Minh City has reached VND59,521 billion, which is over 9% more than expected; the local budget income reached more than VND13,948 billion, which exceeds 14% of target.

It is the last update figure at the State Treasury after the inspecting tour led by Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee and the city’s leaders.

Ho Chi Minh City leaders appreciated the achievements made by the branches of tax, customs, finance and treasury. In 2006, financial sources should be focused on development investment.

These branches should make greater efforts to fulfill greater demands and accomplish difficult tasks of managing budget income and expenditure’s plan and boosting investment for socio-economic development.
