The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) has applied for a license to build a fuel depot in Dam Nha Mac in Quang Ninh Province’s Yen Hung Commune.
It plans to hand over the task of developing fuel distribution in the province to PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOil).
PVOil operates 1,500 petrol stations in the country, selling 2.5-3 million tons a year.
PetroVietnam is set to expand operations, distributing products made at the country’s first oil refinery it opened recently in Dung Quat.
Dung Quat is expected to achieve its full annual capacity of 6.5 million tons of petroleum products in October this year.
