Third Hydroelectric Plant in Gia Lai Province

Dak Srong Joint-Venture Company organized the groundbreaking ceremony of the Dak Srong Hydroelectric Plant in Krong Cho town, Gia Lai province on June 22. After the hydroelectric plants of Ba Ha River and An Khe-Ka Nat, it is the third, which was built on Ba Ha River in Gia Lai province.

Dak Srong hydroelectric plant with three generators of 18MW is expected to come into operation in the second quarter of 2008 at the total cost of VND318 billion.

Gia Lai has 10 hydroelectric plants in operation or under construction with the capacity of thousands of MW at present. They help solve the electricity shortage in the process of industrialization and modernization.
