U.S enterprises learn about natural gas investment opportunities in Vietnam

U.S Gen X Energy Company is an enterprise which is learning about investment opportunities in a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project with a total capital of over US$ 6 billion.

Deputy PM Dung affirmed that the United States is considered as one of the leading important partners of Vietnam.

Over the past time, the two countries effectively developed the comprehensive partnership based on bilateral, regional and global levels, especially focusing on trade and investment cooperation. 

In the energy sector, both sides signed a memorandum of cooperation and had cooperation mechanisms and dialogues with a purpose of strengthening mutual cooperation.

Currently, Vietnam continues to review, balance supply and demand, structure of power sources in the direction of diversifying sources of raw materials for electricity production.

In addition to development of the renewable energy, the Southeast Asian country will also develop energy sources from LNG to gradually replace other energy sources. 

Mr. Dung proposed Gen X Energy Company would continue to work closely with Vietnamese partners and relevant agencies in preparing for the project according to the current regulations.
