Viet Nam’s Overseas Investment Increased Eightfold in 2005

147 overseas investment projects worth more than USD 325.7 million have been so far launched.
34 overseas investment projects with the total registered capital of US$ 95 million have been carried out by the Vietnamese enterprises since the beginning of 2005, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Thus, the number of outbound investment projects from Viet Nam has been doubled and the country’s investment capital rises eight times compared with the same period of 2004.

Reportedly, Vietnamese enterprises have launched 147 overseas investment projects worth more than US$ 325.7 million up to now. The average investment capital for a project is about US$ 2.2 million.

ASEAN and the Middle East are the two major markets that draw lots of Vietnamese businesses’ investment.
