Vietcombank’s Bonds to Be Listed on Stock Market

The Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) received the approval of the State Securities Commission to issue its bonds on the domestic stock market, said Vu Viet Ngoan, General Director of Vietcombank on Jan 9.

Also, Vietcombank is preparing for its bonds to be listed on the domestic market in Feb, 2006.

Vietcombank’s convertible bonds in raising capital worth of VND 1,365 billion (US$86 million) were sold out in just two days in mid-Dec, 2005, leading to an as yet increase in price of 20% in the over-the-counter (OTC) market.
