Vietnamese, Dutch firms cooperate to develop high-tech agriculture projects

The People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc province, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development together with agricultural counsellor at the Dutch Embassy in Vietnam on August 26 signed an agreement on agricultural investment projects worth VND1,700 billion (US$74 million).

Accordingly, the building of a high-tech poultry farming referring specifically to the breeding, raising, and slaughtering of chickens with a total capital of VND1,150 billion is a joint venture between De Heus group of the Netherlands and Hung Nhon Group of Binh Phuoc province.
Another plan is expected to raise and process 10 million chickens per year for export and 5,000 chicken slaughtered per day, and the building of an isolation area for sick animals and the operation zone.
A 100-hectare high-tech beef cattle farming zone will be built at a cost of VND500 billion by the Hung Nhon Group and and T&T 159 Livestock Production Joint Stock Company of Hoa Binh province.
