Mr. Phuong said that the association would work with Taiwanese Tea Association to reject the wrong information, which has badly affected producers of Oolong export tea including 15 Taiwan invested companies.
After the rumor was spread, several Oolong tea consignments have been stopped in Taiwan. Those passing customs clearance have faced with difficulties in consumption.
Mr. Le Van Minh, director of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department in Lam Dong Province, on the same day said that they have coordinated with related agencies to collect evidences against the rumor.
