This is the third times that the Cotton Day 2019 has been taken place in Vietnam. The event showcased the latest technologies on cotton and cotton products to inspire the creativity and innovation in the textile supply chain, contributing to build Vietnam’s textile brand and fashion.

According to the Cotton Council International (CCI), the trend of using cotton instead of artificial fibers is currently coming back and accounts for around 41 percent in Asian markets and Vietnam is now ranking the sixth among the most cotton consuming countries.

Meanwhile, the United States of America has been the largest cotton exporter of the world for many years; and Vietnam is one of the most important  markets of the US with the import value of more than US$ 1.1 billion.

Representatives of CCI and US cotton exporters appreciated the potentiality of the Vietnamese market with the US cotton industry.
