VN highly appreciated trade cooperation ties with Kazakhstan

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc yesterday had a meeting with Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin in capital city of Hanoi.

Chairman Nurlan Nigmatulin, who is one of five members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), signing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Vietnam.

The leader affirmed that the Parliament of Kazakhstan would give priority for the legal assistance to create trade links between the two sides, especially the railway connection between Vietnam and China, Kazakhstan, Europe; create conditions for businesses of both sides to actively participate the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement (VN-EAEU FTA). 

Vietnamese PM praised the economic and trade relations between the two countries with the bilateral trade turnover of US$ 268 million in 2018.

PM Phuc also suggested that the two sides needed to practically evaluate the results of the implementation of the Vietnam - EAEU FTA, learn from experiences and propose effective measures to continue better implementation of the agreement, take advantage of the preferential tariffs thanks to agreement, promote import and export activities between the two countries. 

The two countries needed to actively promote the implementation of the achievements of the ninth meeting of the Vietnam-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Committee in Nursultan. 

The Prime Minister welcomed the opening of direct flights between the two countries.
