Vung Ang seaport wharf can receive over 61,000 ton vessel

Vietnam Marine Administration under the Ministry of Transport has permitted Wharf No. 2, Vung Ang seaport to receive cargo vessels with the loading capacity of up to 61,671 tons, said Viet-Lao Vung Ang Joint Stock Company yesterday.

The permission aims at improving the exploitation efficiency of the seaport infrastructure in the north central province of Ha Tinh.
Wharf No. 2 was put into operation in 2010, at first receiving Vietnamese vessels and foreign cargo ship of about 50,000 tons.
By mid 2016, the administration permitted the wharf to receive general cargo vessels of up to 55,000 tons or container ship of 45,000 tons with the total length of 215 meters and water line suitable to get in and out from the wharf to load and deliver goods and perform other marine services.
