The second American Film Week will open with the film “Michael Clayton” at Megastar cinema in Ha Noi on June 9, according to the Viet Nam Cinema Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Information.
Movies, including “Michael Clayton”, “3:10 To Yuma”, “Juno”, “The Savages”, “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” and more will be screened during the event’s five days.
The first American film week was held in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City last year.
For last year’s event, a delegation including Susannah Grant, chairman of the Nicholl Fellowship, and Curtis Hanson, Oscar-winning screen writer and director of “LA Confidential” participated. The filmmakers discussed topics such as sources of investment, marketing, directing, script-writing, and ways to make documentaries with their Vietnamese counterparts.
