|An ao dai model of Thai Tuan|
The Thai Tuan Textile Company is busy designing and making 600 ao dai for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Ha Noi.
The designers have made a combination of various patterns on those costumes in order to create the image of a traditional but integrated Viet Nam.
The logo of APEC Viet Nam 2006, the lotus – generally known as Viet Nam’s symbol, Vietnamese birds and the bronze drums will appear on the traditional clothes.
Those ao dai will be put on by APEC female volunteers and liaison officers.
The company hopes it is a chance to introduce the beauty of ao dai to delegates from APEC economies.
