The 2008 Toyota Classics will present to Vietnamese music lovers authentic Vienna’s song and dance performed by the world-famous Austrian Vienna Operetta Orchestra at Ha Noi Opera House on November 12.

Under the baton of founding conductor Siegfried Andraschek, together with vocalists Michael Suttner (tenor) and Izabela Labuda (soprano), the Orchestra will play masterpieces of famous composers including Johann Strauss and Franz Lehar.
The orchestra will be joined on stage by Vietnamese talented opera singer Nguyen Bich Thuy who was voted as one of ten Vietnamese typical young artists in 2003.
The concert will be broadcast live on Viet Nam Television’s VTC1 channel at 8 p.m.
Founded in 1989 by Siegfried Andraschek, the Orchestra performs operettas from the Golden and Silver eras of operettas and performs concerts and gala evenings featuring Viennese music, including works by Johann Strauss the Older and the Younger, Franz Léhar, Joseph Lanner and others. The Orchestra has given performances throughout Europe and Asia.
The long-running Toyota Classics program is one of the three key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs undertaken by UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMW Toyota Motor). Conceptualized in 1990, the Toyota Classics raises funds for charitable organizations and Non-Government Organizations.
All proceeds will be donated to the Dong Lenh leprosy village and Leprosy Treatment Center K10 Nam Din in northern provinces of Tuyen Quang and Dien Bien.
Tickets are available at Ha Noi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien Street and Toyota Motor Vietnam, 8 Floor Viglacera Building Me Tri, Tu Liem District in Ha Noi .
The concert is organized by the Art Performing Center of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism together with Toyota Motor Vietnam to mark the 35th anniversary of the Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relationship.
