Biggest-Ever Almanac on Women Published

The biggest-ever almanac titled “Mothers and the Fair Sex”, seen as the first encyclopedia about women ever published in Viet Nam, was released Thursday in Ha Noi.

With nine chapters and 2,600 pages, the almanac contains historical facts as well as legends about Vietnamese women in various aspects besides listing renowned women and first ladies in the world.

Some 250 poems and 200 songs from Viet Nam and other countries featuring mothers and women in general are also included.

Notably, the almanac offers an insight into devoted mothers and women who have been bestowed “heroine” titles for their contribution to the two resistance wars in Viet Nam.

The official debut of the almanac will take place at the Ha Noi Opera House on January 13.
