The warm reception by music fans on his arrival for his first performance in Viet Nam will be a moment that he will remember forever, British singer Shayne Ward said yesterday.
Ward will perform at the first Hennessey Artistry Night at the National Convention Center in Ha Noi tomorrow.
“The Hennessy Artistry night is chance for me to plan my music projects in Asia. Viet Nam is one of the markets that I will conquer in coming time,” he said.
The English pop singer rose to prominence in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the U.S, South Africa as well as Asia after winning the second series of The X Factor, a British television music talent show.
“I have not had much time to visit Viet Nam and learn about Vietnamese music. But I could sense the beauty, peace and history of your country when I took a short walk around the area where I am staying. However, the traffic in the city is really a problem”.
The music show will also feature performances by the Alternative Rock Until June band and Latin pop band The D.E.Y from the US.
The concert is being organized by the National Art Performance Center of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and Moet Hennessy Asia-Pacific.
