Since last night, the HCMC Youth Culture House in District 1 celebrated its three memorable history moments, including the ceremony of the August Revolution, of the National Day and of the HCMC Youth Culture House, by a series of activities entitled “Dau An Lich Su” (Historical mark) .
The series presented some immortal songs extracted from the CD “Su Ca Viet Nam” (Songs of Vietnamese history).
Later, a mini camping carnival took place right in the campus of the House from last night to this morning with various activities including a parade to celebrate the birthday of the House, musical performances on stages, food and drink at vendor shops, camp-fire and team gymnastic performances.
On the same day, the Lam Son Park in District 1 has also celebrated the National Day by its photo exhibition entitled “Nuoc Cong hoa Xa Hoi Chu nghia Viet Nam 63 nam doc lap – tu chu va phat trien” (Socialist Republic of Viet Nam 63 years in Independence – Freedom and Developing).
The exhibition which is scheduled to last until Sep 8 has presented 85 colorful and black-and-white photos with Vietnamese and English captions. The photos belong to three categories: historical materials about the August Revolution, a peaceful and developing Viet Nam and the overview of Ho Chi Minh City in the process of joining international trade.
Moreover, various outdoor stages were set up in the Ba Kieu Temple area, in some suburban areas like My Dinh, Thanh Tri, Ha Dong, Son Tay yesterday evening to entertain local residents with exciting music performances by artists of the Ha Noi Culture and Art Center and various local art units. The outdoor stage will have one more show tonight.
During this period, the Ha Noi Cinema and Video Company has been holding some mobile cinema shows in the suburban districts and poor residential areas.
