The 64th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day of Vietnam, July 27, is commemorated at a historical site in Ho Chi Minh City where revolutionary fighters sacrificed their lives during the 1968 General Offensive in January that year.
The city Party Committee, the People’s Committee and the Fatherland Front Committee are the organizers of the activities that will be held at the historical site in Binh Chanh District, which is due to take place during the morning hours of July 27.
In the evening of the same day, a cai luong performance will be held at the Tran Huu Trang Theater at the above historical site.
In addition, a photo exhibition featuring pictures of the country and soldiers taken by members of the Military Photography Club is being held at the HCM City Women’s Cultural House from now until July 30.
A story-telling contest entitled “They passed away at a young age” will take place at the HCM City Youth Cultural House on July 27.
Ho Chi Minh City Television will broadcast a drama honoring soldiers, on HTV9 channel on July 27 and televise live a cai luong show titled Vang trang co nhac in Dam Sen Park on July 28.
A special music performance marking the 64th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day will be aired live on VTV1.
