Concert marks Europe Day in HCM City

A concert featuring well-known French pianist Celimène Daudet will take place at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on May 11.
Concert marks Europe Day in HCM City


The music show is one of the cultural activities marking the “ Europe Days in Vietnam 2017” event which has gained a high profile in the cultural life of Vietnamese people since 2004.
Celimène Daudet has won prestigious international awards, such as Jean Francaix in France, Val d’Isère Prize, the FNAPEC “Ensemble Music” and Pro Musicis International Prize. Many of her recordings are highly acclaimed, including those of Bach’s works. She is the artistic director of “Lucien Durosoir Festival”. As a solo artist, she has performed in Europe, Asia and North America.
Celimène Daudet will perform with W. A. Mozart’s Concerto for Piano No. 23 at the concert.
The second part of the show will introduce to music lovers excerpts of the world famous musicals and theater, including “Messiah”, “Tosca”, “Nabucco”, “Rusalka”, “Candide”, “Le Cid”, “Die Csárdásfürstin”, with the participation of the most prestigious opera artists in Ho Chi Minh City, Cho Hae Ryong, Pham Trang, Pham Duyen Huyen and HBSO choir and vocal group Saigon Ladies Singers. The concert is led by Vietnamese conductor, Tran Vuong Thach, and the choral choirmaster Tran Nhat Minh.
