“Every prize is a challenge” for winner of MC contest

Hoang Anh Duy, the winner of HCM City TV’s Master of Ceremonies Contest 2009 on August 20, was a shy boy when he was young. However, he impressed the judges to get the prize with his knowledge, skills and attractive style.

Hoang Anh Duy (L) receives the first prize of the HCMC TV's Master of Ceremonies Contest 2009 from Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tai, standing deputy chairman of the HCMC People's Committee.

Everything changed for him when he was in 10th grade and elected as a secretary of the Youth Union for his class at Chu Van An High School, Hanoi.

Since then he took part in various movements in the school, as well as social activities. He was a representative of the school to participate in the City’s Good Secretary of the High School Youth Union Contest.

Duy’s eloquence and artful discourse left a deep impression in people at the competition.

He was chosen as a Master of Ceremonies (MC) at the 92nd anniversary of Chu Van An High School.

During his four years at university, Duy also enthusiastically took part in the annual Green Summer Campaign, a volunteer program for students to help disadvantaged people in remote areas.

After graduating from the Business Management Department of Hanoi Foreign Trade University in 2006, he became a lecturer at the faculties of Administration and Human Resource Management at the university’s HCM City branch.

Anh Duy has also been a MC on Vietnam TV for one year.

“Although wining first prize, it’s not very likely that you are the best. The important thing is that you realize your strong and weak points. The prize of the HCM City’s Master of Ceremonies Contest 2009 is a challenge to become better,” said Duy.
