The festival will recapture cultural spaces of craft villages associated with outstanding Hanoi food such as Hanoi Pho, Thanh Tri steamed roll rice pancakes, Vong and Me Tri green rice flakes, Quan Ganh rice cake, and Uoc Le pork pies.
A photo exhibition on Hanoi now and then, its cultural history and cuisine will also be held. It will introduce a code of conduct in public areas in the capital.
A major stage will feature exchanges with artisans and researchers on Hanoi cuisine as well as folk games to help tourists better understand the value of Hanoi cuisine.
Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy food cooked in traditional ways.
The organising board hopes that the event will contribute to promoting tourism in Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.
