An exhibition titled “Hoang Sa, Truong Sa of Vietnam—The Historical Evidence” opened in the Hanoi Museum on January 17.
The event is held by Hanoi’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and will be ongoing until the end of March.
The exhibition showcases 40 of the most valuable photographs relating Vietnam’s sea sovereignty and 40 ancient maps of Vietnam and China. These ancient maps show Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Islands in Vietnam territory.
The event also presents 33 of the most beautiful madrepores collected from the Spratly Islands by the Navy High Command.
There are three topics of the exhibition: Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Island, list of soldiers and residents of Truong Sa Islands, and the authorities of Spratly Islands.
