Hanoi Sound Stuff fest mixes music with environment

The Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival 2010, themed “Green Space,” is set to kick off at the Giang Vo Exhibition Center in Hanoi March 26-28.

More than 80 local and foreign artists from Germany, Denmark, China’s Hong Kong, France, Australia, the UK, Japan and others will join the show.

Included in the line-up are singers Thanh Lam and Linh Dung; drummer Ha Dinh Huy; and artists Michael Moller of Denmark and Dickson Dee of China’s Hong Kong.

In addition to musical performances, the event also features a fashion show, film screenings, games and seminars related to music and the environment.

Musician Tri Minh, who founded the festival held for the first time in 2008, said the event aims to help young people gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese and foreign cultures while raising awareness about environmental issues.

A ticket to the three-day festival costs VND70,000 (US$3.50).
