The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Day 2011 officially opened at 23-9 Park in District 1 on April 7, offering great holiday promotional discounts for both domestic and foreign tourists this summer.

According to La Quoc Khanh, deputy chairman of the city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this year’s event has many different attractions from last year.
The event has attracted 180 tourism companies who are displaying their products in 80 booths. Considered as a “tourism supermarket”, it will help in creating opportunities for travel companies to publicize their brands and offers to consumers.
Most tourist agencies are offering promotional programs with 30% discount on domestic and foreign tours from April 30 for the coming summer.
On this occasion, the organizing board honored the high-quality Vietnamese tourism trademark, voted by consumers for the first time.
Many art and cultural activities will also be presented in this festival, such as “The best singing voice of the tourism sector” and the “Saigon Market – Dalat Flower – Mui Ne Beach – Phu Quoc Tourism Heaven – Haiphong Red Flamboyance of Poinciana Flowers” photographic exhibition.
The event, co-organized by the HCM City Tourism Association and the city Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism will be on until April 10.
