Huong Pagoda Festival Opens

Traditionally, the Huong Pagoda is a place where pilgrims go to welcome in the lunar New Year and today, February 22nd (the sixth day of the lunar New Year) marks the beginning of the three month long Huong Pagoda Festival in My Duc district, Ha Tay Province. 

More pilgrims visit the Huong Pagoda this Lunar New Year

This year more than 77,000 pilgrims visited the Huong pagoda between the first and the fifth day of the lunar New Year (February 17-21

The festival organizers believe that approx. 330,000 to 350,000 pilgrims will visit the Pagoda during the festival period this year, where there is an entrance fee of VND22,500 and the price of a return boat ticket is VND20,000.

Both fees are applied equally to both local Vietnamese and foreign visitors.
