Masterchef France 2015 winner to join Francophone Festival in Hanoi

Huynh Khanh Ly, Vietnamese-French winner of the French Master Chef 2015 will travel to Hanoi to join the “Taste of France” culinary program on March 17-23 at the invitation of the French Embassy in Vietnam. The event is part of the Francophone Festival in Vietnam.

Khanh Ly was born in 1991 in France. Her parents lived in Vietnam before moving to France. Although she was born and grew up in France she can speak Vietnamese and loves Vietnamese dishes, such as Banh Cuon (Steamed Rice Pancake Rolls), Cao Lau (Hoi An Style Noodle with Pork and Greens), Bun bo Hue (Hue-Style Spicy Beef Noodle Soup), My Quang (Quang noodles).

After winning the French Master Chef 2015, she had an opportunity to study cooking skills and management methods which helped students start their business at the Paul Bocuse Institute in Lyon, a culinary school founded by the “Chef of the Century” Paul Bocuse. She released a book featuring 45 recipes in last April. She is a chef at a private restaurant and has been invited to work as a consultant for several prestigious restaurants in the world.

She will also give cooking lessons in the Francophone Festival that will be held at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and at  O’Douceurs restaurant.

She visited Vietnam for the first time in 2014.
