Painting Exhibition Raises Money for Disabled Children

An exhibition called “Little painters 2007” featuring more than 100 pictures by disabled children is being held at the Equatorial Hotel from now until October 10.

The  painting exhibition will take place at Equatorial Hotel from now until October 10.

The little painters mostly come from special schools for deaf and dumb children including Hy Vong 1, Anh Minh, Gia Dinh, and HCMC Youth Vocational Training and Education Center. Their works reflect children’s dreams and daily activities.

Ten paintings were sold at a cost of US$40 each at the opening ceremony of the display. Money raised from the exhibition will be handed over to the schools to support the disadvantaged children.

The show is jointly organized by the HCMC Assocation of Fine Arts and the Youth Vocational Training and Education Center of HCMC.
