Photo exhibition marks War Invalids & Martyrs' Day

A photo exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27) opened in Nguyen Hue walking street in Ho Chi Minh City on July 25.

Attending the opening ceremony were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee, Tat Thanh Cang; Head of the Department of Propaganda and Training of the HCMC Party Committee, Than Thi Thu; Vice chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee , Nguyen Thi Thu.
The exhibition aims to pay attribute to war veterans, wounded soldiers and martyrs for their great contribution and sacrifice towards the cause of national liberation and reconstruction.
Another outdoor display marking the day is also organized on Ly Tu Trong and Pasteur streets.
On the same day, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee, Tat Thanh Cang presented gifts to Ho Chi Minh City Police Department.
In addition, a delegation of the city’s officials led by Tran Van Thuan, Standing Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the city’s Party Committeevisited offered presents to Vietnamese heroic mother Huynh Thi Xe, war veteran Nguyen Van Si, families of martyrs in Hoc Mon District.
