Organized by Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper and HCMC Youth Culture House, it featured Tran The Tuyen (SGGP Editor in Chief), Le Thi Kim, Le Tu Le, Phan Ngoc Thuong Doan, and others.
The audience was treated to new poems and songs inspired by the poems, all of them about Hanoi.
Organizers launched a contest of poetry and songs based on the poems. The deadline for sending in the poems -- the first phase -- is September 2, the National Day.
The poems selected from the first phase will be offered to musician-contestants to set to music.
The winning poems and songs will be printed on Sai Gon Giai Phong and published in the form of a book to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi next year.
