Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra brings classical works to music lovers

The Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra will give a performance at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music on April 13.

The concert will present to music lovers masterpieces of famous composers, including Johannes Strauss, Gioachino Rossini, Carl Maria von Weber, George Bizet, Luwig Van Beethoven.

Classical music works will be performed by soprano Ngoc Tuyen and Thu Thao, clarinetist Tuan Loc under the baton of conductor, Meritorious Artist Tran Vuong Thach

The Saigon Philharmonic under the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music was established in 2010, making its debut at the 17th ASEAN Summit under the baton of renowned Japanese maestro Yoshikazu Fukumura.

The orchestra comprised local musicians of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, National Music Institute and Hue Music Institute, and musicians from the region including Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
