The Examining Board of The National Press Award 2005, Vietnamese Journalist Association, awarded prizes to 83 authors and groups of authors.
In the category news, interviews, reflective reports, records, there are one A, four B, seven C and nine consolation prizes. SGGP newspaper receives a consolation prize with its report “The farmers’ life after land transfer” by a group of authors Dang Cong Phien, Quang Dat, Ngoc Binh, Nguyen Binh, Trinh Hai, Tran Cong Tao and Thanh Tran.
Tuoi Tre newspaper won the A prize, with the report “The campaign of information, propaganda, and mobilization: Forever 20”.
In the category investigative reports, newspaper notes, there is one A, four B, nine C and three consolation prizes. SGGP newspaper won one B prize with its report “Penetration into the world of drugs” by a group of authors Le Tien Tuyen, Doan Hiep, Chien Dung, Cong Quoc. The A prize went to a group of Tuoi Tre reporters with the report “Are electric meters reliable?”
In the category of notes, comments, editorials, there is one A, two B, four C and three consolation prizes. The A prize went to a group of Vietnamese People’s Army Newspaper, with its report “My communist party: morality, intelligence and civilization”.
In the radio broadcasting category, there is one A, two B, four C and four consolation prizes. The A prize was awarded to a group of authors of Vietnamese Radio with its report “Some problems with Viet Nam's cross-bred rice development program”.
For television broadcast, there is one A, three B, six C and eight consolation prizes. The one A prize was given to “Arrangement of plantations and state-run farms” of Viet Nam Television Station.
For press photo prizes, there is one B, three C, two consolation and no A prizes.
