The contest is titled “Australia and Viet Nam then and now” and lasts until November 30.

The 70 best photos in the judges’ eyes will go on public display at the HCMC Youth Cultural House, 4 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, District 1 from January 26 to February 1.

After Ho Chi Minh City, the exhibition will travel to the National Library, 31 Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi for display from February 26 to March 7, then to other parts of the country for much of 2008.

“The display will truly show the Aussie insight of Viet Nam and vice versa over 35 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries,” Australian Consul-General Mr. Mal Skelly said.

The registration form can be downloaded from www.vietnam.embassy.gov.au. For more information, call Ha Noi on 04-8317755 (ext. 302) or Ho Chi Minh City on 08-8296035 (ext. 134), or email nguyen-thi-thanh.an@dfat.gov.au or nguyen-thi-quynh.nhi@dfat.gov.au
