Solidarity, heritage week opens in Hanoi

A week themed “National Great Solidarity – Vietnam Cultural Heritage” opened at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, in Hanoi on November 18.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC), Tran Thanh Man said the great unity is the precious tradition of the Vietnamese people. Promoting the great national unity is one of the valuable lessons of the Vietnamese Revolution in periods of history.
Solidarity is also the most important and strongest resource in the struggle for national liberation as well as national construction and defense. He also hoped the unity between all 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups will be strengthened.
The week-long event includes a series of cultural activities, such as cultural exchanges among ethnic minorities in the Northwest region, the Central Highland and the Mekong Delta region; performances of traditional crafts and local festivals.
The event which is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front will run until November 23.
