Solo painting exhibition of Hanoi painter in HCMC

A painting exhibition featuring works by artist Pham Luc of Hanoi is being held at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum from now until November 13.

Painter Pham Luc was born in 1943 in Hue. He graduated from the Hanoi Fine Arts University in 1977. He joined the army and taught soldiers to draw and paint.

Images of mothers, the country, comrades, love, daily activities and life of people in coastal regions are the main subject of his paintings.

His works leave a deep impression on local and foreign visitors.

A Pham Luc fan club of painting lovers was established in 2003 and has over 100 members. It helps to identify and understand the sentiments depicted in his paintings and also contributes to charitable causes.
