Swing Quartet Group to perform in European Music Festival 2011

A concert performed by the Swing Quartet Group, as part of the European Music Festival 2011, will be held at the Hanoi Youth Theater on November 22.

The Swing Quartet Group includes French and Vietnamese musicians, and is the combination of great passion for swing between Northern Europeans and South East Asians.

The Group includes French bassist Christophe Hache (French); Belgian accordionist Thibault Dille; Vietnamese Jazz teachers from Vietnam Academy of Music, pianist Nguyen Tien Manh and drummer Nguyen Hung Cuong.

The Swing Quartet Group will play French swing works by Django Rheinardt and Stéphane Grapelli, Yves Montand and Georges Brassens.

After the success of their first tour organized by Culture & Flonsflons and Vietnam Academy of Music on the occasion of the 1000th celebration of Thang Long-Hanoi, the two sides continued to cooperate and in 2011 formed the Swing Quartet Group.
