Trinh’s collection of short stories themed “The Mermaid” and a book of poems by Le Thieu Nhon have triumphed over many other works to win the award.

The conference is a chance for more than one hundred young writers and poets, veterans and readers, to exchange experience and discuss newly emerging problems in literature- especially how to foster a love of literature among young people.

On this occasion, the second volume of the HCMC's literary collection, featuring around 45 works of young writers and poets was launched by the Literature and Arts Publishing House.

First held in 2003, the literature conference of young writers is held every four years.
