Viet Nam Association of Writers Receives Golden Star Medal

The Viet Nam Association of Writers received the State’s golden star medal  at the Ha Noi Opera House yesterday.

The award ceremony was attended by Mr. Truong Tan Sang, politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, representatives of the State and Party agencies, and delegations of Laotian and Cambodian writers.

Mr. Sang wished that the writers will continue to produce valuable works attached to the people, country, and modern life, and will make an outstanding contribution in Vietnamese literature, and receive the public confidence.

On the same day, Deputy President Nguyen Thi Doan took part in the 40th anniversary of founding of the Viet Nam Association of Folk Art. She offered the Ho Chi Minh medal to the union and honored great achievements of the society during the past 40 years.

The anniversary also welcomed former State President Le Duc Anh and members of the association.
