Viet Nam Wins 2007 Miss International Online Vote

Viet Nam’s Pham Thi Thuy Duong has just been named as Miss International Image, 2007 with more than 7,024 votes accounting for 65% of the total.

Meanwhile in second place, Miss Mexico, Priscila Perales and Miss USA, April Strong, got 5% of the votes. And the third place finishers were Miss Venezuela and Miss Hong Kong, who tied with 3% votes. Miss Japan, Hisako Shirata, was voted as Miss Photogenic 2007.

Thuy Duong and other contestants of the Miss International 2007 took part in several pageant activities, including the study of Japanese art, tea service, and floral arrangements.  They also toured Tokyo.

The climax of the 47th Miss International pageant took place at the Prince Park Tower Hotel in Tokyo yesterday.

The glory once again came back to Miss Mexico, Priscila Perales, who triumphed over 61 beauties from all over the world to win the honorary title.

The 1st Runner-up was Miss Greece, Despina Vlepaki, and the 2nd Runner-up was Miss Belarus, Yulia Sindzeyeva.

Special awards, including Miss Photogenic, Best National Costume, and Miss Friendship, went to Miss Japan, Hisako Shirata; Miss Aruba, Jonella Oduber; and Miss Hong Kong, Grace Wong.
